Dramatic Cloud formations of cumulonimbus occur in the UK in October, typically associated with highly unstable atmospheric conditions, areas of low pressure (such as autumn storms), and strong convection.
This image was taken in October when cool air over the North Sea met humid land air over the Norfolk coast where I live. I watched these clouds form & change shapes for hours one afternoon.
