Spanish Balconies. These protruding spaces are a significant element of old town Spanish living. They form a space between the inside family living areas and the outside social street scene. In each region of Spain the balcony - introduced during Roman times - has developed different characteristics due to varying cultural and climatic considerations. For me, this photograph taken in Barcelona's old town, highlights the human need to just "be in our own space".

This photograph is now available on aluminium dibond or under silicone "glass" in sizes: 10x10cm to 90 x 90cm with wall fittings & optional frame.
