Double Millennium Bridge The Millennium Bridge was opened in June, 2000, but was closed just two days later due to excessive swaying. It was reopened in February, 2002 after dampers were installed to stabilise the structure. I always thought that two narrow bridges should have been constructed to celebrate the beginning of the second millennium, hence my creation of this mirror image. It makes for dramatic city scape image!
