Symbolic Stones This collection of smooth stones washed and shaped by the Atlantic Ocean breaking onto the Western shore of the Outer Hebrides seemed symbolic to me. It was in these parts that pre-Christian peoples erected large stones and stone circles. This grouping of stones seemed quite in keeping with the environment.
